Appnana version 2.4.5

Last Saturday I noticed an update of the AppNana app: version 2.4.5 had been released.
Apparently 2.4.4 has been skipped?
You can find the version number on the bottom of the 'Invite' tab.

Personally I don't see any changes. Might have been some bug fixed on the 'Random Free Nanas' on the 'Get Nanas' page, as that is announced as 'What's New' on the Google Apps page.

If you know of other tweeks or modifications on this app that I might have missed; please feel free to add it to the comments!

Exchange your code with mine: n6215050 and I will definitely try to return the favor!

In Europe, these offers are supplied:
Nana Offers section one: the AppNana app connects to present offers hosted by aarki.net Website: http://www.aarki.com/
Nana Offers section two: advertisements are delivered by appclick.co NativeX (their privacy policy states they cannot be held liable for anything that exceeds a total of $10.00). Website: http://nativex.com/
Nana Offers section three: temporarily no offers (26-11-2014)
Nana Offers section four: videos are offered by Vungle and AdColony
Nana Offers section five: contains offers provided by TrialPay
Nana Offers section six: offers by TokenAds.
NOTE : In my opnion this section contains very questionable contents
                     with SMS text message subscriptions.

AppNana behind the scenes: what is send with an offer?

When clicking on one of the AppNana offers from the first Appnana Offers section, when actually clicking the following is happening:

The AppNana app connects to aarki.net (to be prcecise: http://hs.aarki.net/adpick/garden), and with a lot of parameters. A lot of your personal phone information is handed out!

Here is an example of a call from my Dutch HTC phone:

&tracking_limited=n
&package_name=com.appnana.android.giftcardrewards
&country_code=NL
&current_locale=en_NL

As you can see, my AppNana number n6215050 is probably somewhere encrypted in one of the uixe, pixe, dixe and/or nixe parameters.
Aarki.net is the production advertisement domain of aarki.com, a media advertisement company.
This all seems within the bounderies of the standard AppNana app  permissions.

Is the AppNana hack for real?

At a certain moment I came across this web page; that claims to have hacked the AppNana app so one could have unlimited nanas.
Now that does sounds too good to be true.

I don't dare to mess around with my account, and personally I think this is the equivalent of stealing. So I would not recommend it to anyone or anybody.

Still, it is such an intriguing fact, that until this day I'm very curious if this is really possible?

Let me know in the comments what your opinion and/or experience is?

Is Mapiz, the creator of AppNana, safe?

Browsing to a non-existing page like http://s.mapiz.com/appjoy reveals (on 29-Oct-2014) that nginx/1.1.19 is being used. However, Nginx 1.6.2 is the current stable version.

This might make the Mapiz website possibly vulnerable.

An e-mail has been send to support@Mapiz.com at 29-10-2014 to inform them.
However, no reply was received yet.

Comments or advisories are welcome!

AppNana daily return is tricky!

There are restrictions to the daily Nana's; one need to earn enough points from offers and/or invitation codes to keep qualifying for the Daily Nanas.

AppNana claims a daily return to give you a daily bonus of 400 Nanas. However in an earlier post I found out that after 6 times the daily bonus won't work as such any longer; one need to have at least 4000 Nanas by the Nana offers or invite 3 friends.
Further more, the word 'daily' might not be exactly accurate here. The 'daily' reward is granted after 24 hours after the previous daily payout. So for example checking your AppNana app tonight at 11pm and tomorrow at 6am won't count as 2 daily visits! So it is rather a 24 hour countdown after the last reward rather than a daily visit. If you wait longer than 24 hours to log in, the new 24 hour countdown will start from that time on, not from your previous time expiration. To me it makes sense, but it's a little unexpected catch!

Getting to 15,000 Nanas might be harder than you think

In my previous post "Appnana beginners tip: get to 15000-nanas" I claimed it would take one 12 days to achieve the 15,000 Nanas milestone by just having the daily bonus.

Wrong! That was a mistake, because one needs to earn at least 4000
Nanas in points.
In the example account displayed on the right I started off with a default balance of 10,400. For 6 days I managed to get 400 Nanas in daily bonus. Then at day 7 it checked if I gathered 4000 Nanas via the 'Get Nanas' page offers. Or have 3 friends that enter my invitation code. Again, I need more friends! Add my code n6215050 and I will try to return the favor as much as I can!

AppNana friends invitations from n6215050

Dear readers,

I have to be honest: I am having troubles fulfilling my friend requests exchange. Each time I reach out one time to a friend, I need 5 other friends to fill in my invitation code.
So, I need a lot of friends! I'm figuring a lot of people must have this problem. So I'm looking for ways to improve this. Feel free to leave your invitation code in the comments section of this blog article. I will definitely do my best to reward as much friends in this article as possible.
If you do post your invitation code here, I do expect you use my invitation code n6215050 in return.

Update: I'm getting a ton of friends at reddit.com/r/AppNana ; read my blog post about Reddit.

Who is Mapiz, the company behind AppNana?

Since I'm curious by nature, I wanted to find out more about Mapiz, the company that is behind the AppNana app. However, there is not so much to find....
The website mapiz.com is more or less a placeholder for appnana.com and it re-routes visitor to the same generic appnana website. That's a dead end right there.

Interesting though is that on appnana.com website the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy refer to s.mapiz.com/appnana/terms.html

While searching through a search engine on therm 'mapiz company' I came across several records that claimed that the company was founded in 2009, but I could not verify that.

I found on this interesting page trademarkia.com/appnana-85885379.html the information that the APPNANA brand trademark was deposited by Mapiz, Inc. in Covina, CA, 91722 as follows:

On Monday, March 25, 2013, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for APPNANA by Mapiz, Inc., Covina, CA 91722. The USPTO has given the APPNANA trademark serial number of 85885379. The current federal status of this trademark filing is REGISTERED. The correspondent listed for APPNANA is Jason R Lee of Mapiz, Inc., 688 N. Rimsdale Ave., #61, Covina CA 91722 . The APPNANA trademark is filed in the category of Computer & Software Products & Electrical & Scientific Products . The description provided to the USPTO for APPNANA is Downloadable software in the nature of a mobile application for use with mobile phones, cellular phones, laptop and tablet computers, and desktop computers used to disseminate advertising and promotional information for the goods and services of others and that allows users to download free utility, productivity, gaming applications, consumer information and surveys from third party vendors which allows users to receive incentive awards.

As I found out this guy has been busy: Jason R Lee filed 95 US Trademarks (one of them being AppNana, of course). Maybe he's just a guy in the middle. Or is Jason the original founder of AppNana?

On corporationwiki.com/California/Arcadia/mapiz-inc/102897814.aspx it is claimed:
Mapiz, Inc. filed as a Statement & Designation By Foreign Corporation in the State of California on Friday, October 28, 2011 and is approximately three years old, according to public records filed with California Secretary of State. The filing iscurrently active as of the last data refresh which occured on Sunday, June 22, 2014. A corporate filing is called a foreign filing when an existing corporate entity files in a state other than the state they originally filed in. This does not necessarily mean that they are from outside the United States.
Key People
Jun Guan serves as the PresidentJun Guan is also the registered agent for the company. Also known as a statutory or resident agent, the registered agent is responsible for receiving legal notifications regarding court summons, lawsuits, and other legal actions involving the corporate entity.

This could indicate that Jun Guan is the owner; he is located at: 688 N Rimsdale Ave Covina, CA 91722; but there are dozens of companies found on that same address:
corporationwiki.com/California/Covina/688-N-Rimsdale-Ave-Covina-CA-91722-a20333274.aspx#found
However, there is no mentioning of AppNana nor Mapiz on that page.

AppNana version 2.4.3

I noticed an update of the AppNana app: yesterday version 2.4.3 had been released. By the way, you can find the version number on the bottom of the 'Invite' tab.
One major change that becomes visible straight away is the removal of item 'Nana Offers 7 - Videos' on the 'Get Nanas' tab.
For the rest, I personally don't see any changes. Might have been some bug fixed on the 'Random Free Nanas' on the 'Get Nanas' page, as that is announced as 'What's New' on the Google Apps page.
Furthermore it is announced that language support has been added for Italian, Spanish, German and French languages.
So, welcome, benvenuto, bienvenida, Wilkommen, bienvenu! If you know of other tweeks or modifications on this app that I might have missed; please feel free to add it to the comments!
Exchange your code with mine: n6215050 and I will definitely try to return the favor!

AppNana beginners tip: get to 15,000 Nanas

Once you have started a new AppNana account, you start off with 10,400 Nanas. The best way to gain massive amounts of Nanas is to use the 'Invite friends' option in the 'Get Nanas' tab. However, the catch is that both the inviting party as well as the invitee need to have both at least 15,000 Nanas as a minimum in order to exchange.

Let's do some math:if you don't use offers, and would not get any random nanas, how long would it take to get to 15,000 Nanas?
The gap one needs to bridge is 15,000 - 10,400 = 4,600 Nanas. Considering the fact that the daily return yields 400 Nanas, it would take one 12 days (12 * 400 =  4800) to reach the minimum.

That's not too bad; during the period of half a month visit the AppNana app every day, which is like maybe 2 seconds work each day...

Than you're ready to enter code n6215050 and you will have at least 17,700 Nanas by then!
In this blog post I mentioned the AppNana rewards, of which the lowest starts at the level of 30,000 Nanas; so, following the above tactics you're already over half to your first reward! Great reward for nearly doing anything! :-)

AppNana beginners tip: come back every day!

Want to earn easy nanas? Come back every day and without doing anything you will earn 400 nanas.
While you are at it, go to the 'Get Nanas' tab and scroll all the way down. There is a hidden feature that can yield you 'Random Free Nanas'. The first couple of times it only returned +10 nanas for me. But recently I had +100 nanas. So, together with the daily nanas I earned 400 + 100 = 500 nanas just for visiting the app that day!
Yay! Now up to invite somebody. Who's id is next? Add your code in the comments, and if I have collected enough invites on n6215050 to enter a new one, I will consider picking one from this list to return the favor!

AppNana beginners tip: get to 15,000 Nanas!

This might sound as a somewhat strange advice, but as a AppNana beginner it is best to get as quickly as possible to the 15,000 Nanas mark.

Why? Because when starting you start off with 10,400 Nanas (10,000 start credit and 400 for the initial daily bonus). But in order to use the input field for filling in somebody else's invitation code, there is a minimum of 15,000 Nanas required.

Watching a recommended video only yields 5 Nanas and the number of videos to be watched each day is limited. So downloading apps from the Offers sections is your best choice, since it might have a couple of offers yielding 1,000 Nanas or more for a single installation/start-up.

The best advice is to leave installed apps on your device for a while, even if you downloaded them just to get the Nanas as a reward and don't have the intention to actually use the promoted app.
Once the AppNana app confirms that you have been rewarded, then you might consider deleting and removing the promoted app.

Somehow AppNana keeps track of what promoted apps you have downloaded; because even deleting a previously installed app does not make it re-appear in the Nana Offer list. Now that would be way to easy to aquire Nana's, so that's an obvious security issue that AppNana build in.

Nevertheless, the various offer chapters seem to be different content providers. One clue for that is the different icons shown in the right column. So it might be that you get offers for the very same app twice. E.g. I even noticed the 'Brave Frontier RPG' and 'Brave Frontier' both in Nana Offers 2....

Obviously, once to the 15,000 mark getting recommendations is the best way (you and the recommending person both get 2,500 Nanas) to earn Nana's.
Happy AppNana'ing and use my n6215050 code if you find my tutorials worthy!

How to gain dozens of AppNana referrals (Earn Free Gift Cards By Downloading Apps!)

n6215050
Lately, several of my game contacts have asked me how I’ve earned so many AppNana points on the Android / iPhone app called AppNana / App Joy! I decided to share my experiences on this page and exactly explain to you in detail how I did it! I have referred 20+ people since joining AppNana in October 2014, which has earned me 50,000+ points in total! That’s 20+ people x 2,500 points per referral! Read my extensive explanations below, but if you cannot wait or if you are an experienced app user: download AppNana or App Joy+, use my invitation code n6215050 and we both get 2500 points!

How do you do it?
Is there really a secret? To be honest, there is no real secret to earn AppNana points. You just have to promote your code on every social networking account you own, find other AppNana members and swap codes and download and open apps. Consistency is key with this Android/iPhone app! These are the best ways for you to earn even more AppNana points:
  • Share your code on Twitter and Facebook frequently. The Hootsuite app might come in handy to schedule your tweets;
  • Write a blog to tell people how AppNana works for you. There are multiple free blogging platforms to create blogs and blog posts like e.g. Blogger.com, Weebly.com, Tumblr.com or WordPress.com;
  • Make a video to demonstrate viewers about AppNana. You can add your blog, your code and a tutorial in the video. Sign up at e.g. Youtube.com;
  • Post your code in related forums;
  • Add your blog page to Automatic & Manual Traffic Exchange Sites, Social Media Exchange Sites, Email Marketing Sites, Text and Banner Ad Sites and to Social Networking Sites. This allows people from all over the world to see your blog and possibly sign up. Someone might see your blog post about AppNana as long as you remain active on the various programs that you join.
  • Post your code on reddit,com/r/AppNana.  Read my Appnana tips on how to do this.

Tips for selecting the proper title for your blog or YouTube video
Make sure that you choose an appealing title that attracts potential visitors! Here are some good examples:
  • “How to get Amazon gift cards for free”
  • “How to get PayPal cash for free”
  • “How to get iTunes gift cards for free”
  • “How to get iPhone games for free”
  • “How to get YourFavoriteGame in-app purchases for free” (replace 'YourFavoriteGame' by e.g. Minecraft, ClashOfClans, BoomBeach, GTA or the favorite game of your target audience preference)
  • “How to get an GameConsole for free” (replace 'GameConsole' by Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, etc.)
How AppNana works
With the Android/iPhone app program, you download apps, sign up for offers and watch promotional videos for points which are referred to as nanas.
The AppNana app is extremely easy to use. There’s only 3 basic steps:
1) Download apps & watch short videos;
2) Open apps that are download. Then return to the AppNana app to earn the points (beware: some games require you to play the initial level or levels before they reward you!);
3) Redeem accumulated points/nanas for $1, $2, $5, $10, $15, $50 Amazon gift cards/ PayPal cash & $10, $15 & $50 iTunes gift cards (payout methods and/or amounts may differ per country/continent).
The app itself is devided in three main chapters: Rewards, Get Nanas and Invite that will be explained into more detail below.

AppNana app tab Rewards
The 'Rewards' tab tells you how you can redeem the collected nanas and how much you will get. Notice that larger amounts of money or higher value gift cards will take up more nanas, but in fact AppNana will give you a bonus. E.g. 650.000 nanas will yield for PayPal € 35,-, but $euro;70 is not double the nanas, but 'only' 1.200.000 nanas.

There are multiple types of rewards to cash your points in:
  1. Amazon gift cards
  2. Google Play gift cards
  3. iTunes gift cards
  4. PayPal cash
  5. Xbox gift cards
  6. PlayStation Network cards
  7. GTA Shark cash cards for Xbox
  8. GTA Shark cards for PS3
  9. Steam wallet card
  10. League of Legends (LoL) game card
  11. Bitcoin

However, payout methods and/or amounts may differ per country/continent. Some reward types might not be available in some countries. Also, in Europe the amounts will be in Euro but elsewhere they are in US Dollars.

All rewards follow this point system:
30,000 nanas = $1 (Amazon)
45,000 nanas = $2/€1.4 (Amazon, PayPal)
60,000 nanas = $3/€2.1 (Amazon, PayPal)
90,000 nanas = $5/€3.5 (Amazon, PayPal, Bitcoin, Xbox, GTA)
160,000 nanas = $10/€7 (Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, PayPal, Bitcoin, Xbox, PlayStation, GTA, LoL)
210,000 nanas = $15 (iTunes, Bitcoin, Xbox)
280,000 nanas = $20 (Steam, PlayStation, GTA)
330,000 nanas = 3 Mo (Xbox)
480,000 nanas = $40 (Steam, LoL)
650,000 nanas = $50/€35 (Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, PayPal, PlayStation)
1,200,000 nanas = $100/€70 (PayPal)

AppNana app tab Get Nanas
The easiest way to earn your nanas: visit the app every day. This will give you 400 nanas each day! The 'Get Nanas' consists of 2 important items: the invitation part and Nana offers.
With the invitation code you can enter the invitation code of one of your friends. Here is the AppNana tricky part; once you have done that, you have to wait until 5 others have entered your referral/invitation code.
Each time you enter an invitation code you earn 2500 nanas. If somebody else is using your invitation code they make 2500 nanas, and so do you! As far as I'm aware there are no referral/invitation codes that yield different amounts of nanas. Some other people want to pursuade you to enter their code by telling you their code yields enormous amounts of nanas. That's not possible. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is... So beware!

The Nana offers part of the app used to contain 6 sections (v2.5.1 and lower); but as from v3.0.0 it automatically shows the available offers straight away, and below those offers are 2 extra sections (actual rewards may vary from 50 to 3500 nanas):
  • Nana Offers 1 (Recommended)  [Removed since v.3.0.0]
  • Nana Offers 2 (Recommended) [Removed since v.3.0.0]
  • Nana Offers [Renamed since v3.0.0; former name: "Nana Offers 3 (Recommended)"]
  • Nana Offers - Videos [Renamed since v3.0.0; former name: "Nana Offers 4 - Videos"]
  • Nana Offers 5 [Removed since v.3.0.0]
  • Nana Offers 6 [Removed since v.3.0.0]
  • Nana Offers 7 - Videos [Removed since v.2.4.3]
Each section has multiple offers in it; once you have used the offer it will remove itself from the list.
Personally I experienced that the number of videos you are able to watch is limited with a maximum per day.
[NOTE 29-Oct-2014: Since AppNana version 2.4.3 the section 'Nana Offers 7' has been removed.]
[NOTE 14-Apr-2015: Since AppNana version 3.0.0 the sections were drastically changed]

But wait, there is more! Sometimes a random nanas offer shows up on the bottom of this screen; so make sure you always scroll down the entire nana offers screen!

AppNana app tab Invite
The 'Invite' part displays your personal invitation code. With this invitation code you can ask friends to invite you back. Also you can maintain your own contact details on this part of the app.

What's in it for you?
Using the app is very simple. Once you download apps through the AppNana app, you open them. When you log back into the AppNana app, your points get added to your account. If you want to take part in this program you can follow this link or type AppNana or App Joy+ in the app store. Once you download the app, enter your info and add my invitation code n6215050, we both can get 2500 points.
If you have collected enough nanas and redeem your points, you have to wait 48 hours before receiving e.g. your Amazon gift card code.

What are you waiting for?
Get paid to download apps! Join AppNana today at http://appnana.com! After installation, enter my code n6215050 for +2500 BONUS points! Don’t forget to tweet me your code at https://twitter.com/nlstart or contact me through my contact page.
